1. Narrative teks
teks narrative adalah
teks yang menceritakan sesuatu yang imajinatif atau khayalan belaka dan
bertujuan untuk menghibur pembaca.
A. Struktur teks narrative
1. Orientation (npendahuluan cerita):
memperkenalkan tokoh tokoh dalam cerita,latar dan waktu.
2. Complication : munculnya permasalahan
diantara tokoh tokoh tersebut.
3. Evaluation
4. Resolution : masalah mulai mereda.
5. Re-orientation(opsional) :rangkuman.
B. Ciri-ciri narrative teks
1. Menggunakan past tense
Use past tense.
2. Biasanya dimulai dengan adverb of time
(long time ago,once upon a time,in a faraway land.
Usually , start with of time (long
time ago,once upon a time,in a faraway
land.
3. Menggunakan kata hubung (conjunction)
, seperti then,after that,before.
Use conjunction, alike then,after that,
before.

The farmer and the beet
Once upon a time ,a farmer planted a beet. The beet grew and
grew.
One day, the farmer
pulled on the beet, but the beet didn’t come up.”horse please help me pull up
this beet. I want to eat for dinner “ said the farmer.”sure , I’ll help you”
said the horse. But the beet did not come up.
Then the farmer went
to the cow.” Dear cow,please help me pull up this beet. I want to eat for
dinner”. Said the farmer . “ sure, I’ll help”, said the cow .but the beet did
not come up. So the farmer went to a goat.” My lovely goat, please help me pull
up this beet .i want to eat for dinner”. Said the farmer. “ sure I’ll help
“.said the goat. But the beet did not come up.
Next, the farmer
went to the cat.” Oh my dear cat , please help me pull up this beet. I want to
eat for dinner.” Said the farmer. “ sure,I’ll help” said the cat. But again the
beet did not come up.so the farmer went to the mouse.”lovely mouse , please
help me pull up this beet” said the farmer. “ sure, I’ll help “ said the mouse.
So the mouse pulled on the cat.the cat pulled on the goat, and the goat pulled
on the cow.
The cow pulled on
the horse, the horse pulled on the farmer, and the farmer pulled on the beet.
And the beet came up! “ thank you,horse. Thank you cow. Thank you , goat. Thank
you,cat. And thank you mouse ! “ said the farmer. “ now we can all eat dinner”.
And they did.

A game you should not play
Once upon a time,a boy named jack had to look after his
father’s sheep. Everyday , jack took the sheep up the hill where the grass was
rich and green.
While the sheep
grazed on the hill, jack sat on the rock and watched them. Everyday he sat on
the same rock and watchedthe sheep. He felt bored and lonely. “ I have nothing
to do “he thought.
One day ,he decided
to play a game . he ran down the hill crying ,”wolf! Wolf ! wolf !”.
All the villagers
rushedout their houses and ran up the hill. Jack laughed at them because there
was no wolf.
The next day , he
felt bored and lonely again. He played the same game. Wolf! Wolf!wolf!he
cried,running down the hill.

The story of two frogs
Once upon a time, there were two frogs
lived in japan. One frog lived in Osaka.
The other one lived in the city of Kyoto.both of themwanted to see a little of
the world. The frog who lived in Kyoto wanted to visit Osaka and the frog who
live in Osaka wanted to go to Kyoto.
So, one fine morning
in the spring they both left their homes to the other towns.halfway between the
two towns there was a mountain which and they had to be climbed. They reached
the top in the same time.
Each frog was very
surprised to see the other before him. Then they told the other of his purpose
so far from home.
“what a pity we are
not bigger” said the Osaka frog. “for then we could see both town from here and
tell if it is worth our while going on “. “ oh thateasly managed”. Replied the
Kyoto frog. “ we just have to stand up on our hind legs and hold on the each
other and then we can each look at the town he is travelling to”.
The
excuted the idea. Then the Kyoto frog turned his nose towards Osaka and the
Osaka frog turns his noses toward Kyoto,but to foolish creature forgot when they stood up, their great eyes
lay in the backs of their heads and they though their noses might point to
which they wanted to go. Their eyes be
held the placesfrom they had come .
“dear me” cried the
Osaka frog . “ Kyoto is exactly like Osaka. It is certainly no worth such as
long journey. I shall go home”.
“if I had any idea that Osaka is only a copy of Kyoto I should
have never travelled all this way”. Exclaimed the frog from Kyoto. Then they
took a polite farewell of each other and
set off for home again and to the end of their lives they believed that Osaka
and Kyoto which are as different to look
at as two towns can be as two peas in a pod.
2. Descriptive teks
Teks
descriptive adalah teks yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan suatu
benda,tempat,atau orang tertentu.
A. Struktur teks descriptive
1. identification (identifikasi) : berisi
pendahuluan tentang apa dan siapa yang akan dideskripsikan.
2.description ( deskripsi) : berisi cirri
cirri khusus yang dimiliki benda,tempat atau orang yang dideskripsikan.
B. ciri-ciri
teks descriptive
1.
menggunakan simple present tense.
Use the simple present tense.
2.Menggunakan attribute verb,seperti be (is, am, are )

Alimudin, a local footballer
Alimudin is 16 years old. He is a local footballer who plays for a small
football club in paramatta, Sidney. He work hard to be a professional footballer.
His day starts at 4. First he says his prayer and then he goes
jogging.he goes jogging for one hour.
After jogging,he joins his club to do some practice. After that he takes
a bath. His mother always prepares simple breakfast for him. After breakfast,
he goes to school.
At 3 p.m. he goes to the football field. His football club practices
playing football. He learns a lot from his coach. His football practice ends at
about 5 p.m. he goes home and does his
other daily activities.

3. Procedure teks
Teks procedure bertujuan menerangkan
cara membuat atau melakukan sesuatu berdasarkan serangkaian langkah atau
kegiatan ( steps).
A. Struktur procedure teks
1. Aim/goal (tujuan) : dapat berupa
judul.
2. Materials : bahan dan alat yang
diperlukan. Namun , tidak semua teks procedure memerlukan tahap ini. Bagian ini
dapat diberi label “ you’ll need”,”ingredients”, atau “supplies needed” .
3. Steps : langkah-langkah unntuk melakukan
kegiatan . bagian ini juga dapat diberi label “what todo”,
“method”,”instruction”.
B. Cirri-ciri teks procedure
1. Menggunakan the simple present tense,
biasanya berbentuk kalimat imperative.
2. Menggunakan kat hubung temporal,
seperti first,second,then,next,finally.
3. Menggunkan action verb, seperti turn
on, stir,cook.

Methods :
Here’s a
paper airplane that will fly in circles.
1. First, fold the paper in half the
long way.
2. Then, draw a line about an inch away
from the fold on each side the full length of paper.
3. Then, cut out the airplane, but don’t
cut on the fold.
4. After that, spread out the airplane
and colour it. You can draw airplane markings near each wing tip.
5. Next, refold your airplane.now fold
each wing down along the line drawn on it.
6. Then, add a paper clip to the nose.
You can change the way your airplane flies by changing the wing shape and
putting more than one the nose.

Steps :
1. Combine sugar,pandan leaves and water
in a small saucepan.
2. Heat for a few minutes until sugar
dissolves.
3. Cool syrup.
4. Place generous spoonfuls of cube
avocado,jackfruit and young coconut into a serving bowl.
5. Add a little syrup tob sweeten.
6. Top with crushed ice and drizzle a
condensed milk.
7. Serve immediately.

Let’s make a
butterfly garden
1. First of all, you need to grow some plants from seed or buy
young plants. Wearing a pair of gloves dig over your chosen patch of earth with
a trowel.
2. Next, break up any large clods of
earth with a trowel. Now start to take over the pot of your plot so that the
earth is evenly spread and crumbly.
3. After that, dig several small holes
for your plants with the trowel. Then place the plants in the holes and press
the earth down firmly with gloved hands around the base of each plant.
4. Finally, water your plants well. They
will need to be watered regularly. It would be better to water your plants at
dusk.
5. Record which butterflies you can see
visiting your beautiful flowers. Which is the most popular plants.

Suggested preparation :
1. Put instant porridge into a bowl.
2. Put 250 cc hot water, stir well.leave
it for about 3 minutes until the porridge thickens.
3. Add soya sauce and chili sauce( as
much as you like ).
4. Then, spread crackers and meat floss.
The porridge is ready to be served.

Steps :
1. Fill one of thebottles about
three-fourths full with water.
2. Add the salt to the bottle of water
and secure the cap.
3. Use the tape and the pen to label the
bottle “homogenous mixture”.
4. Shake the bottle virogously 20 or
more times. Allow the bottle to stand for 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Fill the second bottleabout half full
with water.
6. Add the cooking oil to the bottle and
secure the cap.
7. Use the tape and the pen to label the
bottle “heterogenous mixture”.
8. Shake the bottle virogously 20 or
more times. Allow the bottle to stand for 2 to 3 minutes.
9. Compare the contens of the bottle.
